My Name is Shanti and I am deeply passionate to learn and share the wisdoms I have gathered through extensive explorations of Yoga, and meditation. Not only has yoga changed my life it continues to do so in ever evolving ways.

More than a livelihood yoga for me is a way of living and being. I love to Share the magic and the mystery that these profound sacred traditions hold. I want to show you that yoga is not just a set of postures you do on a sticky mat. Yoga is an inner science of self discovery, From how you Breathe, to how you move, From how you feel to how you think.

If you want to really understand what living is  you have to be willing to look within.

My wish for you would be that  you will find the mystery you already are, waiting to take you deeper into your own hearts desires.

About Shanti

I am Shanti Meera and I Love assisting people who are looking for answers find those answers within themselves through the teachings of Yoga. These time tested practises can show you how to feel at home in your body and in the world.

I am trained through the International Yoga teachers association with 10 years teaching experience. My own yoga practise has spanned 20 years and it has been a saving grace, physically and mentally many times over. I have since worked with and studied many lineages of yoga to find my own unique blend of what works for me, and my intention is to help you find yours !

Introduced to the practices by my Mother, yoga provided me with tools to manage my own highly anxious nature, and replace negative habits with a gentle mindful presence. As a young adult I spent years living and working at a Meditation centre. Meditation lies at the heart of  yogic philosophy and my practise here instilled in me an unshakable inner balance.

Shanti is a wonderful Yoga teacher. She challenges you to come out of the comfort zone but at the same time allows you to enjoy the silent moments in the pose. She has great knowledge of eastern philosophy and has a holistic approach to Yoga.

The Wisdom of the Moving Body

The Wisdom of the Moving Body

You were made to move, Your body and brain have evolved as a mechanism to move through this world and find the nourishment to live. What if you didn’t need any other purpose than just to live? “You don’t have to be Good”, To Live is no small thing!

Full Spectrum Being, You are More than you know.

Full Spectrum Being, You are More than you know.

The truth is not “out there” it’s “in here”, its intrinsic to the very fabric of your being. You need to come closer in to the heart of your own being, and this journey of self discovery is what yoga is all about. Once you find the truth inside yourself no-one can shake it.

Subtlety and Simplicity; Exploring energy from the inside

Subtlety and Simplicity; Exploring energy from the inside. Forget about the linear approach I'm going take a spiral in towards our subject of chakras, Which seems only fitting for these spinning focal points of Yogic energy physiology. Let's investigate here together...

Yoga Nidra Getting to the root of it all.

Yoga Nidra Getting to the root of it all.

In a world full of opinions about what you should be doing and how you should be doing it, the word ‘lazy’ is itself a lazy accusation. Simple name calling might be useful organizing a storeroom, but when it comes to the complexities of human experience, it’s just not.

Starting Over Again

Relentless demands on time and attention, are leaving many people struggling to keep sight of the bigger picture. When the tides of life sweep you off your feet, it’s good to know how to tread water. However it’s not a sustainable longterm option, You need to find...

Are Chakras Real?

"Reality" Ugh,  does anyone even know what that means anymore? I have always had a Strong desire to know the Truth, And I have spent a lot of time looking for it. I have never been a natural believer, always wanting to understand and experience...

How to Win the World in a Breath

By learning to ride the waves of your breath you gain greater control of the currents of life always moving within you. Making the breath audible, with your wave like sounds, provides an anchor you can use to fix your mind to it’s every ebb and flow. This tide of breathing carries you inwards, into yourself, into the moment where life is always fresh, here and now. This undertow can carry you deep into the the calm depths of your own centre and discover there the ocean of life itself.

I love Shanti’s classes, she has so much wisdom to share, articulates yogic poses excellently and I love winding down at the end with her guided meditations :~)
